Honoring 75 Years—Investing in the Next 75

Since our founding in 1951 as St. Mary’s Catholic School, we’ve been blessed by families, parishioners, and community partners who make our mission possible. In our 75th year, we are launching the Heart of Mary Fund — a reimagined version of our Annual Appeal — to secure the future of our students.

SUSTAIN OUR MISSION

The Heart of Mary Fund

Your generosity helps every student, every classroom, every day.

The Heart of Mary Fund is Seven Sorrows BVM Catholic School’s annual giving program—a vital part of how we sustain our mission and support the daily life of our school. Rather than multiple small fundraisers throughout the year, this fund invites our families, parishioners, alumni, and friends to make one meaningful contribution that directly strengthens our classrooms, supports our teachers, and enriches the student experience.

This reimagined approach to annual giving was launched in celebration of our school’s 75th anniversary, honoring the generosity and faith that began with our founding as St. Mary’s Catholic School in 1951. The Heart of Mary Fund continues that legacy, ensuring that Catholic education at Seven Sorrows remains strong for generations to come.

Gifts to the Heart of Mary Fund directly support:

  • Faith Formation: Providing opportunities for spiritual growth and service.
  • Academic Excellence: Enhancing classroom technology, curriculum, and enrichment.
  • Tuition Assistance: Helping families who need financial support.
  • Faculty & Staff Development: Investing in the teachers who inspire our children.
  • Campus Improvements: Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for learning.

Each fall, we invite every school family to prayerfully consider a pledge to the Heart of Mary Fund. Families are asked to complete a Commitment Form, indicating their participation level, volunteer interests, and ways they can give throughout the year. Every gift—large or small—makes a difference

Together, our collective generosity reflects the loving union of family, parish, and community that defines Seven Sorrows Catholic School.

Join us in shaping the next 75 years of faith, excellence and community.

Stories of Impact

At Seven Sorrows Catholic School, our families, students, and alumni bring our mission to life. Their voices reflect a faith-filled education that nurtures the whole child and show the lasting impact of Catholic education for generations.

I am certain that much of my career can be attributed to the first foundation with which I was blessed as both a student and parishioner of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic School. I recognize and deeply respect that fact.

 —Alumni, Class of 1962

We love Seven Sorrows—we feel like it’s family. I like that all the teachers take the time to meet everyone, each individual family. I feel that everything they learn here, whether academically or in faith, is something our children will carry on for the rest of their lives.

 —Melendrez Family, Current Parent

Every day we thank God for the path He paved to lead us to Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic School. The Seven Sorrows family is a blessing to be a part of. I get choked up when I think about the amount of love that surrounds every student and family that walks through the door. I cannot thank you enough for all the help and support you have given us.
